Two Arrested with 1.210 kg of Charas

Under the ongoing special campaign against narcotics, the CIA team of Police District Noorpur achieved a major success. Acting swiftly during a checkpoint operation, the team apprehended two individuals carrying 1.210 kilograms of charas.
- Robin (33 years) – Resident of Nainikhad village, Post Office Nainikhad, Tehsil Bhatiyat, District Chamba.
- Yusuf (24 years) – Resident of Chadiara village, Post Office Bat, Tehsil & District Chamba.
The operation was carried out near Sakri Khad cremation ground (Rehan). During routine checking, police stopped an Alto car (registration number HP 47A 2812). On searching the vehicle, the team recovered 1.210 kg of charas from the possession of the accused. The narcotics along with the vehicle were seized on the spot.
A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at Police Station Rehan, and further investigation has begun. Police are probing both backward and forward linkages to trace the roots of this supply chain and dismantle the network involved.
