Nurpur Police Arrest Pathankot Youth with 10.18 Grams of Heroin; Bike Seized

In a decisive action against drug trafficking, the CIA team of Nurpur Police seized 10.18 grams of heroin (chitta) from a youth at the Kandwal main entry point. The accused was apprehended during a naka checking operation, and the motorcycle used in trafficking (Apache, registration number PB 06 BA 1636) was also confiscated.

The accused has been identified as Raja, son of Jamal Singh, resident of Sarai Mohalla, Gali No. 47, Gandhi Chowk, Pathankot (Punjab), aged 26. A case has been registered against him at Police Station Nurpur under FIR No. 173/2026, Sections 21 and 25 of the NDPS Act. He has been arrested and further legal proceedings have been initiated.

Nurpur Police confirmed that intensive investigation is underway to trace the accused’s network and identify his contacts involved in drug trafficking. Authorities reiterated their commitment to continuing strict action against narcotics smuggling in the region.
