Special outlet near Mandi’s Seri Manch draws sweet lovers; sugar-free sweets also available for diabetics

The Himachal Pradesh Milk Federation (Milkfed) has put out 500 quintals of pure desi ghee sweets across the state this festive season, adding a wholesome and authentic flavour to Diwali celebrations.
The sale of Milkfed sweets began on October 15 through 30 counters set up across Himachal Pradesh and will continue till October 19, the eve of Diwali. In Mandi, a temporary outlet near Seri Manch has become a hub for sweet lovers, offering a wide range of traditional sweets made with pure ghee, along with sugar-free varieties for health-conscious customers.
Speaking to the media, Vishwakant Sharma, unit in-charge of Milkfed’s Chakkar Milk Plant, said the federation has increased its production this year to meet the growing festive demand.
“Our aim is to provide people with pure, tasty, and hygienic sweets that they can trust. Every year, Milkfed ensures top quality during festivals and this Diwali is no exception,” he said.
Wide range of sweets at attractive prices
The Seri Manch outlet offers a diverse collection of Milkfed’s sweets prepared from pure desi ghee. Popular options include Pinni, Panjiri, Milk Cake, Soan Papdi, Coconut Barfi, Pahadi Barfi, Doda Barfi, Roasted Chana Barfi and Brown Peda at Rs 275 for 400g; Kaju Barfi is Rs 400 for 400g, Motichoor Ladoo is Rs 200 for 400g and Rasgulla, Chamcham, Rasbhari, Gulab Jamun and Angoori Petha at Rs 240 per kg.
Additionally, gift packs priced at Rs 1,000 and Rs 620 are available for festive gifting.
Sugar-free delights for a healthier Diwali
In a thoughtful move, Milkfed has introduced sugar-free sweets for diabetic and fitness-conscious consumers. The special range includes Sugar-Free Pahadi Barfi, Coconut Barfi and Milk Cake, enabling everyone to savour the festive sweetness without compromising on health.
Vishwakant Sharma urged the public to celebrate a “Clean and Green Diwali”, emphasising the importance of supporting locally produced, pure food items.
“MILKFED’s sweets bring together purity, tradition, and taste — making them a perfect choice for this festive season,” he added.
