Dharamshala:
Rumours circulating on social media on Tuesday evening suggesting that Dharamshala’s Maximus Mall was in danger of collapse due to a landslide have been firmly denied by the management.

Following the speculation, the mall administration had cancelled an evening film show, which further fuelled concerns among the public.

However, speaking to The Newz Radar, Devender Pathania, Manager of Maximus Mall, clarified that the mall remains completely safe and that there is no threat to the structure.

“The claims being spread on social media are false and misleading. People should not believe such rumours,” Pathania said.

He explained that due to continuous heavy rainfall, a minor landslide occurred at a spot well below the generator area located behind the mall.

As a precautionary measure, the film show was cancelled in case the generator faced any potential disruption, which could have affected the power supply.

“The precaution was purely technical, related to uninterrupted power backup. There is absolutely no risk to the building itself,” Pathania reassured.

The management urged people not to spread panic and reiterated that Maximus Mall is structurally safe and secure.
