Dharamshala – The grand public turnout at the Jan Sankalp Sammelan in Mandi, marking three years of the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, has sent a powerful political message across the state.

Former Dharamshala Mayor Devendra Jaggi said the massive crowd was not just a gathering, but a resounding endorsement of the Congress government’s performance over the past three years and a stern rebuke to the BJP’s “false narrative.”

Jaggi asserted that the BJP’s attempts to spread misinformation against the Congress government have failed, as people have witnessed the government’s work firsthand. “For three years, BJP’s fabricated allegations have had no impact. The historic presence in Mandi has erased their propaganda completely,” he remarked.

Highlighting the achievements of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, Jaggi noted the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme, the ₹680 crore startup fund for youth, significant improvements in roads and connectivity, and bold decisions to steer the state out of financial crisis. “What the BJP could not achieve in five years, Sukhu has delivered in three,” he said.

Jaggi accused BJP leaders of blocking Himachal’s rightful share at the Centre, halting relief packages, and deliberately weakening the state financially. He condemned this as “anti-Himachal politics,” especially in the wake of natural disasters that caused losses worth crores.

According to Jaggi, the overwhelming public support in Mandi has shaken the BJP’s confidence. “The crowd reminded them that people are not swayed by religion, caste, or slogans. They want development, relief, jobs, and stability,” he said.

He further alleged that BJP leaders are more interested in creating political instability than serving the state’s interests. “The Congress government has earned people’s trust, while BJP is left with despair and frustration,” Jaggi added, calling the Mandi rally a “warning for BJP and inspiration for Congress.”

He concluded that the rally signals the mood for the 2027 Assembly elections, with Himachal’s people standing firmly behind the Congress government and its vision of stability, development, and transparency.
