Tejaswini Singh, an outstanding Air Wing Cadet from 1 Himachal Pradesh Air Squadron NCC, Kullu, has etched her name in history as the first cadet from DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, to participate in the prestigious 26th January Republic Day Parade in New Delhi.
Her remarkable achievements in academics, sports, and NCC have led her to this significant milestone, showcasing her dedication and leadership.

Journey of excellence in NCC and beyond

Tejaswini, a Class X student at DAV Centenary Public School, Mandi, has been a dedicated member of the NCC for over a year. She has maintained a perfect 100% attendance and has participated in various camps, including the Annual Training Camp, CATC, Pre-RDC, and RDC, gaining invaluable experience and honing her skills.
Her involvement in these camps demonstrates her commitment and discipline, essential qualities that have contributed to her selection for the Republic Day Parade.

Academic and sporting achievements

Tejaswini’s academic performance has been stellar, securing top marks and a First Division in previous years. Alongside her academic pursuits, she has excelled in various sports, earning accolades in taekwondo, pencak silat, shooting and judo.
She also earned a bronze medal in the Khelo India Women’s League and demonstrated her prowess in adventure sports like trekking, rock climbing, and rappelling, achieving a remarkable 75 km trek at 9500 feet.

Passion for social work and personal growth

Beyond her academic and athletic achievements, Tejaswini has contributed to her community through social work. She has received recognition from the Smile Foundation for her work with underprivileged children.
Her personal interests in rifle shooting, mandala art, and anchoring further reflect her diverse talents and commitment to self-improvement.

Born on June 18, 2010, Tejaswini’s father Dr Chaman Lal is into government service. She belongs to Madhdhar village under Kotmoras post office in Mandi Sadar tehsil.
