A special felicitation ceremony titled “Joginder Nagar Ki Shaan – Dedicated to Women” was organised in Joginder Nagar by Himachal Ekta Manch to recognise the achievements of women who have made meaningful contributions in different fields.
The programme was held with the objective of encouraging women’s participation in social, educational, professional and community development activities, while also acknowledging their role in strengthening society.
Prof. Anupama Singh, former Vice-Chancellor of SPU Mandi, attended the event as the Chief Guest, while Meghna Thakur, Shashi Kiran Sharma, Suchika and Bimla Verma were present as Special Guests.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Anupama Singh emphasised that women today are playing a leading role in every sector, from education and healthcare to administration and social service. She stated that recognising women achievers is essential not only to honour their dedication but also to inspire future generations to move forward with confidence and self-belief.
The special guests also highlighted that empowerment begins with respect and recognition at the community level, and such initiatives help create a more inclusive and progressive society.
The ceremony was organised under the leadership of Himachal Ekta Manch founder and National President Deep Lal Bhardwaj, who welcomed all guests and participants. The event was smoothly coordinated with the support of Mamta Bhatia, State Joint Secretary of the organisation.
During the programme, several women including Saloni, Asha, Savita, Amita, Leena, Shobha, Ragini, Dr. Aanchal, Rajkumari, and others were honoured for their contributions.
A large number of local residents and dignitaries attended the ceremony, which concluded with a strong message of encouragement, respect and support for women’s leadership and progress in the region.
