A crucial meeting was held today at the Pangi Subdivision Headquarters in Killar under the chairmanship of Shri Lalit Thakur, Chairman of the Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC). The meeting was convened to discuss the implementation of the newly declared Natural Farming Subdivision in Pangi, following the recent announcement by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Shri Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Participants and Stakeholders: The meeting saw the participation of Pangi’s Residential Commissioner Shri Raman Gharsangi, heads of various departments, officials from the Agriculture Department and ATMA Project, Director of Wool Federation Shri Veer Singh Rana, APMC Chamba member Shri Rakesh Kumar, Sural Gram Panchayat Pradhan Shri Deepak Chauhan, and progressive farmers from the region.
Focus of the Discussion: The agenda centered on promoting natural farming and ensuring its effective implementation in the region. Technical suggestions were presented by officials, including:
- Production of organic fertilizers
- Cultivation of indigenous crops
- Revival of traditional farming practices
- Farmer training and capacity-building programs
Chairman Shri Lalit Thakur emphasized that the visionary decision by the Chief Minister would open new avenues for farmers in Pangi and position the region as a model for natural farming. He assured that the directives from the Chief Minister would be prioritized and implemented at the grassroots level to yield visible results from the upcoming agricultural season.

Shri Lalit Thakur extended heartfelt gratitude to all attendees and expressed sincere thanks to Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for declaring Pangi as a Natural Farming Subdivision.
