Dharamshala: The newly appointed Vice Chairman of the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC), Ajay Verma, made a grand appearance as the chief guest at the much-celebrated Spring Carnival organized by The Newz Radar. This marked his first participation in a major event by The Newz Radar since his appointment.
The evening commenced with Verma lighting the ceremonial lamp alongside The Newz Radar team, officially inaugurating the cultural night. The event soon turned vibrant with a spectacular performance by Chamba’s renowned folk singer, Vishal Bhardwaj, who enthralled the audience with his soulful melodies.

Ajay Verma’s Vision for Kangra’s Future
Ajay Verma, hailing from Kangra district, has been a dedicated public servant with a focus on regional development. Upon his appointment as HRTC Vice Chairman, he expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for entrusting him with this significant responsibility. Verma has announced plans to introduce 42 new Volvo buses and 240 electric buses into the HRTC fleet, aiming to enhance transportation facilities across the state. He also emphasized the importance of revitalizing loss-making routes to ensure connectivity for remote areas, thereby fostering inclusive growth.
Verma’s strategic initiatives are anticipated to transform Kangra’s transportation infrastructure, making it more efficient and accessible.
