In a stellar achievement, 23 students from DAV Public Senior Secondary School at Banhkandi in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh have been awarded scholarships worth Rs 6,000 each under the Deendayal SPARSH Philately Scholarship Scheme organised by the Department of Posts.
The students underwent a rigorous two-stage selection process. In the first phase, a written examination was conducted by the Philately Department, shortlisting 36 students.
In the second phase, the selected students prepared philately projects on various topics and submitted them to the Postal Circle in Shimla. Out of all entries from schools across Himachal Pradesh, 40 projects were chosen, with 23 belonging to DAV-Bankhandi.
School chairman Ravindra Talwar, Manager BK Yadav, ARO Vikram Singh and Principal Shri Subhash Sharma congratulated the winners for their dedication and outstanding performance.
