The Ramleela Club Jadhera successfully organised the Late Prem Lal Memorial Kabaddi Tournament on October 2, marking the festive occasion of Vijayadashami with spirited sportsmanship and community participation.

ASP Chamba Hitesh Lakhanpal attended the event as Chief Guest, blessing the participating teams and urging youth to pursue their goals with dedication. He also emphasised the need to keep society and the younger generation away from substance abuse.

The tournament was played on professional mats, with preparations initiated well in advance by the organising club. Ramleela Club officials—including President Dilip Kumar, Vice President Kaku Ram, Secretary Ashok Tandon, Treasurer Suresh Thakur, and members Dr. Devendra Kumar and Dr. Hunal Bhardwaj—shared that this annual kabaddi event has been held for the past five years at Ramleela Ground, Jadhera.

Organized under the supervision of District Kabaddi Association President Rafi, Secretary Om Prakash, and educators Nawal Sharma and Monu Sharma, the tournament drew ten teams from the region.

The final match saw Chamba Boys triumph over Sankalp Academy Chameenu, clinching the winner’s prize of ₹10,000, while the runner-up received ₹5,000. Young kabaddi player Rohit was specially honored for his outstanding performance.

The prize distribution was conducted by Dr. Devendra Kumar, Dilip Kumar, Kaku Ram, Ashok Tandon, Suresh Thakur, Dr. Hunal Bhardwaj, and Mrs. Nirmala Devi, who commended the players for their dedication and sportsmanship.

The day concluded with a vibrant Dussehra procession from Ramleela Ground, continuing the club’s 22-year tradition of staging Ramleela and promoting youth engagement through cultural and sporting events.
