Palampur: A CBSE workshop was organised at Spring Dale Convent Senior Secondary School at Bhedu Mahadev in Palampur, with participation from multiple schools across Kangra district.
Dr Rajeev Singh Niryal, Principal of Spring Dale Convent Senior Secondary School, Jawali, was selected as the resource person by the CBSE to lead the session on Life Skills.
The workshop commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and Saraswati Vandana. Addressing the attendees, Dr Niryal emphasised that simplifying life and adopting practical habits form the essence of life skills.
He highlighted key aspects such as acceptance, time management, positive thinking, self-care and overcoming procrastination.
He explained that developing communication skills, interpersonal abilities, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, and decision-making are crucial for handling life’s challenges effectively.
Dr Niryal used activity-based teaching methods to engage participants, demonstrating how interactive learning fosters curiosity, strengthens vocabulary and enhances both mental and physical development.
He stressed that such approaches encourage students to seek new experiences and develop a habit of reading.
Dr Rajendra, the school chairman, along with other management committee members, congratulated Dr Niryal for his insightful session and expressed their pride in the school’s continued progress.
