The MBA and MCA Departments of Government College Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh) successfully organised a grand international conference on the theme “Redefining Business, Science and Technology for Innovation and Sustainability in the Era of AI and Changing Global Landscape” on November 22–23, 2025. The two-day event elevated the academic prestige of the institution and created a vibrant platform for global dialogue on technology, innovation, business, environmental sustainability, and research.

Participation

  • 168 participants from universities, research institutions, and industries across India and abroad attended in person.
  • 29 participants joined online, giving the conference a truly international character.

Inaugural Session

  • Chief Guest: Shri Raman Sharma, SP (CID), inaugurated the conference. He highlighted the growing impact of AI and digital security, complexities of technology-driven crimes, and rapid transformations in society and industry. He emphasized that knowledge, technology, and innovation have become complementary forces shaping opportunities and challenges in today’s world.
  • Principal Prof. Rakesh Pathania stressed that such international conferences provide students and researchers with a global perspective and inspire academic institutions to keep pace with emerging technologies, business trends, and global challenges.

Distinguished Guests

  • Mr. Chander Wahi, with leadership experience across India, Europe, Canada, and the USA in leading technology companies, shared insights on global industry practices, innovation culture, and international structures of technology businesses.
  • Ms. Lee Ann Wahi, a veteran journalist with 35 years of experience as Managing Editor in Minneapolis community newspapers, analyzed the changing face of journalism, the rise of digital media, transparency in information flow, and the interdependence of media and technology.
  • Dr. Dipanjal Shrestha, Associate Professor and Executive Director, Pokhara University, Nepal, discussed the development of education and technology in South Asia, international research collaborations, and the need for innovation-driven academic models.
  • Keynote Speaker Prof. Manoj Sharma (NIT Hamirpur) delivered a comprehensive lecture on Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Industry 4.0, emerging digital platforms, global competition, and technology-driven business models. He emphasized bridging the gap between academia and industry.

Valedictory Session

  • Chief Guest Prof. Narendra Awasthi spoke on the growing influence of technology, the role of research, the need for innovation-driven development, and ethical use of technology. He emphasized that AI and technology hold immense potential, but their true value lies in being linked with social responsibility, sustainability, and human values.
  • Certificates were distributed to all participants, presenters, and volunteers. The organizing committee expressed gratitude to dignitaries, speakers, participants, faculty, and student volunteers whose dedication made the conference historic and inspiring.

The two-day international conference proved to be an outstanding convergence of technology, business, science, innovation, and sustainability. It not only deepened understanding of current global challenges but also opened new dimensions for future research and innovation.
