Dharamshala — As part of Vigilance and Awareness Week 2025, an inter-college speech competition was successfully organized at the Government College of Teacher Education, Dharamshala. The event was jointly hosted by the College’s School Internship Program Committee and the Commerce Club.

A total of 11 participants from various institutions—including Government College of Teacher Education Dharamshala (District Kangra), Government College Dharamshala, Matour, Shahpur, Takipur, and Nagrota Bagwan—delivered insightful and compelling speeches on the theme “Vigilance and Shared Responsibility.”
The jury panel comprised distinguished faculty members Prof. Preeti Prabha, Prof. Yugraj Singh, and Prof. Rita Devi, who evaluated the performances with fairness and precision. Notably, the top three positions were secured by female participants, showcasing excellence in thought and expression.
- 🥇 Artika Chaudhary from Government College Nagrota Bagwan won First Place for her well-articulated and impactful speech.
- 🥈 Kaushiki Katoch from Government College Dharamshala secured Second Place.
- 🥉 Ankita from Government College Takipur earned Third Place.
Addressing the audience, Principal Prof. Aarti Verma emphasized that the aim of such competitions is not merely to win accolades but to foster confidence, critical thinking, and social responsibility among students. She highlighted the need for collective accountability and anti-corruption awareness, noting that people often speak out against corruption only when personal rights or dignity are threatened.
She also encouraged students to incorporate yoga and pranayama into their daily routines to build discipline, dedication, and holistic well-being.
The event was smoothly and gracefully anchored by Dr. Atul Acharya, who concluded the ceremony by expressing heartfelt gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and jury members from the participating colleges.
