Himachal board HPBOSE Class 12 results 2025 out; girls outshine boys again, Una’s Mehak tops with 97.2% marks

DHARAMSHALA: The Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) declared the results for the Class 12 annual examinations on Saturday (May 17, 2025). The overall pass percentage this year stood at 83.16%, with girls significantly outperforming boys in the merit list.

The results were announced in the presence of Hemraj Bairwa, Deputy Commissioner of Kangra and Chairman of the HPBOSE, along with Board Secretary Dr Vishal Sharma.
A total of 75 students made it to the overall top-10 merit list, out of which 61 are girls and 14 are boys, highlighting the continued academic excellence of female students in the state.

Mehak from Una district secured the top position in the state, securing 97.2% (486/500) marks. Kangra’s Khushi & Jahnavi secured the second rank with 96.6% (483/500) marks.
The Class 12 examinations were conducted in March 2025 across 2,300 centres in the state (excluding the tribal areas of Lahaul-Spiti and Pangi). A total of 93,494 candidates, including both regular and SOS (State Open School) students, appeared for the examinations.

However, the English exam for Class 12 had to be rescheduled after the question paper was mistakenly opened during the Class 10 English examination at a school in Chamba district. The re-exam was conducted in April.
