Shri S.K. Jha, Joint Secretary, CBDT, Ministry of Finance, Government of India, inspected the PM Shri Cantonment Board Middle school in Dalhousie. During the visit, he reviewed the facilities being provided to students and assured all possible support for the school’s development.
On his arrival, the school’s Principal, Reena Kumari, welcomed him with a bouquet. Deputy Ranger Sanjeev Kumar and Sanitary Inspector Babar Ali Khan also extended greetings. The principal further honored Shri Jha with a traditional cap and shawl.
This school was designated a PM Shri School in 2022. It provides free education, uniforms, and textbooks to students. Due to these facilities and the high standard of teaching, not only children from Dalhousie Cantonment but also those from nearby villages—whose parents rent houses in the area—are benefiting from the institution. The school currently educates students from Nursery to Class VIII.
Parents and students have requested Chief Executive Officer Sovik of Dalhousie Cantonment to extend the school’s affiliation up to Class X. Sovik stated that efforts are being made to achieve this.
