The Himachal Pradesh State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) team has secured First Position in the Inter-Zonal Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) Competition, held from 23–26 February 2026 at the 8th Battalion NDRF campus in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The team competed under the mentorship of the 14th Battalion NDRF.
The closing ceremony was graced by Gambhir Singh Chauhan, DIG (Administration & North Zone) NDRF, who attended as the Chief Guest. A total of eight SDRF teams participated in the competition, with Uttar Pradesh SDRF securing Second Position.
Officials highlighted that the intensive training sessions and expert guidance provided by the 14th Battalion NDRF played a pivotal role in enhancing the practical skills and confidence of the HP SDRF team.
Winning first place at the inter-zonal level marks a significant milestone for Himachal Pradesh SDRF, reflecting the team’s dedication, perseverance, and collective hard work alongside the mentorship of 14 BN NDRF.
