Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation to join relief efforts in flashflood-hit Mandi

In the wake of the devastating disaster in Himachal Pradesh, the Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation (HUYF) has announced its active participation in relief operations.


The state coordinator of the Himachal Unemployed Youth Federation, Shrey Awasthi, has announced a special volunteer team for Mandi district, which will be led by district president Vishal Mandotra.


Calling the disaster in Mandi “a crisis for the entire state”, Shrey Awasthi said: “Every member of the HUYF will stand shoulder to shoulder with Mandi in this difficult time. Our goal is to ensure that the federation reaches every person in need.”


He appealed to all HUYF office-bearers and volunteers across the state to immediately reach Mandi and actively participate in relief efforts. Shrey also urged all social and youth organisations to come together beyond political lines and work for the affected people.


Shrey Awasthi emphasised: “This is not a time for politics, but for humanity. We must reach every home that has been impacted by this tragedy.”


Under Vishal Mandotra’s leadership, the HUYF team is engaged in distributing relief material, providing medical aid, assisting in rescue operations and supporting rehabilitation efforts in coordination with the administration.
