Shimla:
Three youths were *killed while one sustained serious injuries when the car they were travelling in plunged into the Pabbar river near Rohru in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh.
According to the police, the incident occurred around midnight near the Seema Harsukh Resort, close to a petrol pump on the outskirts of Rohru town. The vehicle, an Alto car bearing registration number HR02R-8912, reportedly went out of control and fell into the river. All four occupants were returning from the Laila fair being held in Rohru.
The local residents rushed to the spot and initiated rescue efforts before informing the police. A rescue operation was launched and the vehicle was later pulled out of the river using a crane. Three of the occupants were found dead at the scene and were declared brought dead at the local hospital. The fourth youth, who sustained critical injuries, was immediately taken for treatment.
