MANDI: Member of Parliament Pratibha Singh has allocated Rs 10 lakh from the MP Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund for the construction of a Sainik Sadan in Mandi-Sadar and Kullu Assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh.
She said 5 lakh had been released for the construction of an extra floor of the Sainik Sadan in Dhalpur in Kullu and an equal amount for the construction of Sainik Sadan in Balahar village of Kotle panchayat in Mandi-Sadar Assembly constituency.
According to the announcements, the implementation agency BDO has provided Rs 6 lakh separately to Mandi-Sadar development projects. Pratibha Singh said that honouring the soldiers, ex-servicemen and their families who defend the country on the borders was every Indian’s duty. “The contribution of the soldiers can never be forgotten,” she said.
