Himachal MLA Ashish Butail inaugurates two new link roads in Palampur Ward No. 6

Palampur MLA Ashish Butail formally inaugurated two newly constructed link roads in Khildu in Ward No. 6 of the Palampur Municipal Corporation in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, built at a total cost of Rs 20 lakh.


During the event, Butail congratulated local residents and shared that Rs 7 lakh was spent on the road connecting the main road to Khildu Har, while the stretch from Hanuman Temple to Rani di Kuhal was constructed at a cost of Rs 13 lakh. He said these new roads would significantly improve connectivity and ease travel for people in the area.


The MLA emphasised that developmental work in the Palampur region is being carried out on a priority basis. Highlighting the critical role of youth in a region’s progress, he urged the community to help protect young people from social evils such as drug addiction. He called on local residents and social organisations to actively raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse.


During the event, Butail also listened to public grievances, resolving many issues on the spot and directing concerned departments to address the rest promptly.


Among those present at the occasion were Mayor Gopal Nag, Deputy Mayor Rajkumar, councillor Trilok Chand, Municipal Commissioner Ashish Sharma, SDM Netra Meti, Tehsildar Sajan Bagga, DFO Sanjeev Sharma, DSP Lokendra Negi.
