Himachal CM’s wife richest in Dehra bypoll, owns Rs 9.14 crore assets, BJP rival worth Rs 8 crore

Kamlesh Thakur, the Congress candidate for the Dehra Assembly bypoll who is the wife of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, has assets worth Rs 9.14 crore.

She has movable assets worth Rs 90.88 lakh and immovable property of Rs 8.23 crore. Her husband and two daughters too have a share in this property.

The Congress candidate has jewellery worth Rs 20.70 lakh, a flat in New Chandigarh worth Rs 51.79 lakh and a Himuda flat in Chhota Shimla. Apart from this, she has land in Nadaun, Shimla and Baddi.

Kamlesh has immovable property worth Rs 2.91 crore and movable property worth Rs 54.65 lakh. Her husband has immovable assets worth Rs 5.31 crore and movable property worth Rs 31.26 lakh. Her daughters have movable property worth Rs 3.77 lakh and Rs 1.19 lakh.

The CM’s wife is pitted against two-term Independent MLA Hoshyar Singh, who is contesting on the BJP ticket this time. Hoshyar has movable assets worth Rs 5.26 crore, including Rs 4.3 crore of own, Rs 79.46 lakh of his wife, Rs 7.75 lakh of his one daughter and Rs 8.16 lakh of the other.

The BJP leader has immovable wealth worth Rs 2.79 crore, including Rs 1.62 crore of own and Rs 1.17 crore of his wife. He and his wife have bank loans amounting to Rs 40.53 lakh each. He owns two flats in Mumbai and Thane.

Advocate Sanjay Sharma is contesting as an Independent, but his assets are much lesser than the above two candidates.
