Himachal bags 2nd position for implementing criminal justice project ‘Prosecution Pillar

DHARAMSHALA: Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has congratulated the state Prosecution Department for bagging the second position across India for implementation of Inter-Operable Criminal Justice System (ICJS) project ‘Prosecution Pillar’.
The department was awarded during the 5th conference on good practices in Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and System/ICJS held recently in Delhi.
Director of Intelligence Bureau Tapan Deka, in the presence of Chief Minister Sukhu, presented the award to the Secretary of Home Abhishek Jain along with other senior officers of the Prosecution Department in Shimla on Sunday. The Secretary of Home briefed the Chief Minster with regard to ICJS programme and All India e-Prosecution portal in which Himachal competed with other states.
The Chief Minister expressed hope that the department would continue with such efforts in the future to ensure transparency and accountability in the system, expediting justice to the poor and needy.
