In a heartfelt tribute to the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Hilltop School in Dalhousie celebrated Guru Nanak Jayanti with deep reverence and communal harmony. Upholding its inclusive ethos, the school brought together students and staff of all faiths in a vibrant celebration of unity and spiritual reflection.

The event commenced with a soulful Paath (prayer) led by students, infusing the campus with a serene and devotional atmosphere. The collective participation of students from diverse backgrounds underscored the school’s commitment to interfaith respect and togetherness.

Following the prayer, a Langar was organized, where students and staff shared a meal in the spirit of equality and service—core principles of Sikhism. The communal dining experience served as a living example of seva (selfless service) and sarbat da bhala (welfare of all).

Addressing the gathering, School President Dr. Poonam Rai Dhawan reflected on the timeless teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. She emphasized the values of Kirat Karo (earn an honest living), Vand Chakna (share with others), truth, humility, and compassion. Dr. Dhawan reiterated the school’s dedication to fostering harmony among all religions, embodying the spirit of Sarv Dharm Sambhav.

The celebration concluded with a collective prayer for peace, gratitude, and goodwill—leaving the school community inspired by the enduring legacy of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
