PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Bakloh hosted a vibrant celebration on the occasion of Children’s Day, which this year also included a special Grandparents’ Day segment. The school campus was filled with joy, laughter, and intergenerational bonding.

The event was graced by chief guest Sharmila Rai, who was warmly welcomed by Principal Anil Kumar with a symbolic green gesture—a plant presented in honor of the occasion. The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp before the idol of Goddess Saraswati, followed by a melodious welcome song performed by the primary section students.

🎯 Fun and Games for Grandparents

A series of engaging games were organized for grandparents, including the Jalebi Race, Lemon Spoon Race, and Book Balancing Race. These activities showcased the enthusiasm and energy of the participating grandparents, cheered on by their grandchildren. Winners were honored with medals presented by the chief guest and the principal.

🎭 Cultural Showcase and Culinary Delights

The primary students also presented a colorful cultural program that captivated the audience. Principal Anil Kumar, in his address, emphasized the emotional and cultural imprint grandparents leave on young children, stating, “Such events strengthen and sweeten these cherished relationships.”

Adding to the festive spirit, a Children’s Fair was organized where students set up food stalls featuring delicacies from various Indian states. Parents, teachers, and students relished the diverse flavors and celebrated the culinary creativity of the young participants.

🎙️ Heartfelt Reflections

Chief guest Shushila Rai, in her speech, praised the initiative, saying, “Today’s event refreshed my childhood memories. It was a beautiful celebration, and such programs should be held regularly. I thank the principal and the school family for this successful event.”

Parents also expressed their joy and appreciation, calling the celebration memorable. The event concluded with a vote of thanks to all parents, guests, and the organising team.
