Government Senior Secondary School Garola celebrated the 11th International Yoga Day with great zeal and community participation. The event witnessed a vibrant gathering of students, staff, and guests who joined hands to promote the essence of yoga and mindfulness.
Special guests from the NGO Sahaj Yoga, including Ms. Shalini Rawat and Jyoti Chadda, guided students in meditation practices, emphasizing the mental and emotional benefits of inner peace. Representing Patanjali, Shri Parakrami demonstrated a series of yoga asanas and briefed students on the significance of each posture. Jitendra from JSW was also present, lending support to the initiative.
The celebration was a collective effort supported by the school’s NSS volunteers, Eco Club members, Scouts and Guides, and the Road Safety Club—all of whom contributed actively to the success of the program.
Principal Shri Mehr Singh addressed the gathering, underscoring the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. He urged students to develop discipline through regular practice and highlighted yoga as a timeless Indian tradition that fosters holistic health.
The yoga session saw enthusiastic participation from all attendees as they engaged in asanas and breathing exercises with keen interest. The atmosphere echoed with positive energy and a shared commitment to wellness.
