Dharamshala: Dr Rajesh Guleri has taken over as the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) in Kangra district, the largest district in the state. Previously serving as the Senior Medical Superintendent at the Regional Hospital in Dharamshala, Dr Guleri has also worked as the CMO in Chamba and served as the District Health Officer in Kangra from 2015 to 2018.
Talking to media persons Dr Guleri expressed concern about the weak monitoring and evaluation of healthcare services based on his five years of experience in various roles, emphasizing the need for regular review and assessment to identify areas lacking adequate facilities.
He aims to strengthen supervision and monitoring from block to district levels, organizing meetings at the block level to ascertain the healthcare needs of the people. Efforts will also be made to enhance the quality of services provided in hospitals.
