Dharamshala: Dharamshala city will witness the installation of smart gates and beautification at its entry points, announced Sudhir Sharma, the local MLA.
The budget for the ambitious project has been approved, with specific allocations for monumental gates in key areas.
Sharma, who is also the national secretary of the Congress party, revealed that a total of Rs 92 lakh have been allocated for various development projects, addressing the demands of the local residents. The proposed gates will be constructed at strategic locations, including Shilla-Chaitdoo road, Sakoh-Chaitdoo road, and Siddhabari main road.
Furthermore, Chaitdoo Chowk, a prominent junction en route from Kangra Airport to Dharamshala, is set to undergo beautification with an allocation of Rs 6 lakh. The legislator emphasized the importance of enhancing the aesthetics of this crucial intersection.
Sharma assured that the allocated budget for the development projects is aimed at meeting the demands of the public promptly. He highlighted the need for coordination among different departments to ensure the timely completion of the proposed initiatives.
In addition to gate installations, various road construction projects received approval, benefiting several wards and gram panchayats in the Dharamshala constituency. Sharma affirmed his commitment to completing all projects within the stipulated timeframe, underscoring the importance of effective administration and interdepartmental collaboration.
