Says : Himachal Govt. is Making Continuous Efforts to Take Tourism to New Heights

Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today stopped briefly at Govind Sagar Lake while travelling from Una to Mandi, where he personally enjoyed various water sports activities. The Deputy Chief Minister said that the State Government is fully committed to giving new dimensions to tourism in Himachal Pradesh and is making every possible effort to strengthen the tourism infrastructure.
He added that promoting water sports in Bilaspur is an important step towards expanding tourism, which will further enhance the state’s identity as a major adventure tourism destination.
The Deputy Chief Minister appreciated the efforts of the Bilaspur district administration through which water sports activities in Govind Sagar Lake are being developed in a planned, safe, and attractive manner. At present, facilities such as cruise rides, shikara, speed boats, and water scooters are available in the lake, providing exciting experiences for tourists while also supporting the local economy.
He said that these activities are enabling Bilaspur district to emerge rapidly in the tourism sector, making it one of the prominent attractions of the state.
He further said that with the coordinated efforts of the district administration and local management, Govind Sagar Lake is being developed as a model destination from a tourism perspective. In the coming days, this initiative will be expanded further and new facilities will be added so that Himachal Pradesh can continue taking stronger steps towards realizing the tri-level concept of water, air, and land-based tourism.
On this occasion, HIMFED Vice Chairman Maheshwar Chauhan, Jhandutta Congress leader Vivek Kumar, and HIMUDA Board Director Jitendra Chandel were present.
