Dayanand Model Senior Secondary School, Dharamshala, takes immense pride in its students who continue to excel not only in academics but also in various competitions organised by the Education Department at block, district, and state levels.
According to Principal Mrs. Meenali Gautam, student Priya emerged victorious in the Under-14 Block-Level Badminton Tournament held at Government High School, Yol. She was subsequently selected for the district-level competition in Bharmaad, where 23 blocks participated. Dharamshala block secured the top position, and Priya was chosen to represent the district at the upcoming state-level tournament in Jutwal.
In the Under-17 District-Level Kabaddi Tournament held at Government Senior Secondary School, Rehan, the school team reached the semifinals. Two students, Abhay Tamang and Aditya, were selected for the state-level competition to be held in Una.
Student Pragyan Hans was also selected for the district-level Under-14 Badminton Tournament following his performance at the block-level event in Yol.
In the Under-19 Chess Tournament hosted by Dayanand Model School, student Himanshu secured second place.
At the same venue, student Armaan Kapoor won bronze medals in both the 400m and 800m races during the Under-19 Athletic Meet, and also earned a silver medal in the relay race.
Another student, Ashish, was selected for the district-level Under-19 Basketball Tournament.
Principal Mrs. Meenali Gautam honored all the winning students during the morning assembly and extended heartfelt thanks to physical education teachers Mr. Rajat Kumar and Mr. Kapil Kumar for motivating and guiding the students toward excellence.
