Yol
The Annual Function of DAV Public School, Narwana, Yol was celebrated with great enthusiasm and grandeur on 28 November 2025. The program commenced with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a soulful Saraswati Vandana presented by the students.
On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, Himachal Pradesh Board of Higher Education, Dharamshala; Special Guest Shri Prithi Paul Singh, Manager of DAV Public School Ghumarwin; Shri Vinod Kumar, Principal of Army Public School, Yol; and Shri Arjun Singh, Principal of Army Public School, Yol, graced the ceremony with their esteemed presence.
The Chief Guest, who is an alumnus of DAV College, appreciated the performance dedicated to Swami Dayanand Saraswati. In his address, he advised the students to stay away from drugs, praised the school’s efforts in imparting holistic education, encouraged them to work with determination, remembered the contributions of freedom fighters, and spoke about Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. He shared some of Nehru Ji’s inspirational thoughts for the welfare of the students and quoted his words: “Only through education can a better structure of society be created.” He also advised students to remain connected to their culture.
This year’s theme, “Virasat” (Heritage), was beautifully showcased through a vibrant series of cultural performances. The spectacular group dances and yoga-based presentations mesmerized the audience. Students were felicitated by the Chief Guest for their extraordinary performances.
Principal Mrs. Lata Thakur presented the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s achievements throughout the year. She congratulated the students and staff for their dedication and teamwork and expressed her gratitude to the parents for their continuous support.
The program concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, followed by the rendition of the DAV Anthem. The event was a grand success and left an everlasting impression on everyone present.
