Dalhousie: A two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) workshop was successfully conducted on July 4-5, 2025, at Dalhousie Hilltop School, Dalhousie, under the joint aegis of the Institute of Secretariat Training & Management (ISTM), Government of India and the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).


The event saw enthusiastic participation from Principals and senior teachers from various schools under Panchkula region, who gathered to enhance their training capabilities and pedagogical skills.


The workshop was inaugurated with an inspiring welcome speech by Dr Poonam Dhawan, President of Dalhousie Hilltop School, who emphasised the importance of continuous professional development for educators and set a motivating tone for the event. Hosted at the picturesque campus of Dalhousie Hilltop School, nestled in the serene hills of Dalhousie, Himachal Pradesh, the workshop provided an ideal setting for learning and collaboration.


The school’s exceptional hospitality, state-of-the-art facilities and dedicated staff ensured a seamless and enriching experience for all participants. The tranquil environment and warm reception by the school added a unique charm to the event, making it both productive and memorable.


The sessions were led by an esteemed panel of experienced trainers from the CBSE, including Bagaban Padhy, Deputy Director (ISTM) Sanjeev Puri, Deepa Dogra and Kiran Mehra, CoE Coordinator, CBSE. Their expertise and engaging training methodologies left a lasting impact on the participants. The workshop focused on equipping educators with advanced training techniques, fostering innovative teaching practices and promoting holistic development in schools.


Participants described the workshop as a transformative experience, emphasising its uniqueness in empowering them as educators and trainers. The interactive sessions, practical insights and collaborative discussions enabled attendees to acquire valuable skills to implement in their respective institutions.


Additionally, students and staff of Dalhousie Hilltop School actively engaged with the participants, showcasing their talents and gaining exposure to modern educational practices. The school staff also benefited immensely from observing the CBSE trainers’ methodologies, enriching their professional knowledge and skills.
