The Helping Hand Social Welfare Society of Dalhousie held its annual meeting at Hotel Arc in Dalhousie where members discussed the organisation’s activities over the past year and outlined future initiatives.

The meeting focused on several key issues, including sports competitions, social responsibilities, water conservation, distribution and environmental protection.

A major decision was taken to prevent tree felling at the Shanti Sthal in Panchpula for funeral purposes. In collaboration with the Dalhousie Municipal Council, the society has decided to collect and store fallen tree wood to provide it at a nominal cost to local residents.

The initiative aims to continue on a regular basis, and the society appealed to other social organisations for their support in this cause.
