Students of Government Senior Secondary School, Chauri, showcased excellence in both academics and sports during recent district-level competitions. Organized by the Department of Language and Culture under the Hindi Fortnight celebrations at Salasi, Riya Sharma secured second place in the Hindi speech contest, while Reet won third place in the Hindi poetry recitation competition.
In sports, the school’s Under-19 Kabaddi team impressed at the tournament hosted by Government Senior Secondary School, Bijhri, finishing as runner-up. Four players—Tanvi, Payal, Anshika, and Nandini—were selected to represent the school at the district level.
On their return, the students received a warm welcome from Principal Sarita Dubey, staff members, DPE Sanjeev Kumar, and Hindi Lecturer Dinesh Kumar. Principal Dubey congratulated the players and teachers for their outstanding achievements.
