Dharamshala: Vivek Singh, the Chancellor of Arni University, was honored in Shimla by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, Shiv Pratap Shukla, for the university’s significant contributions to the education sector. The event, held on August 5 at the historic Gaiety Theatre, was organized by The Newz Radar media house and aimed to recognize excellence in education and honor meritorious students across the state.

Arni University, one of the largest in Himachal Pradesh, boasts a sprawling campus of 125 acres. The institution has earned its place among the top three universities in the state, attracting around 2,000 students from various regions, including Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and even as far as Nigeria.

Singh expressed his gratitude for the recognition and outlined his vision for the university. “I was invited by The Newz Radar to receive this honor at Shimla. It’s a privilege to be acknowledged by the honorable Governor. This event is not just about celebrating the success of students but also about recognizing the collective efforts of institutions like ours that strive to make a difference,” said Singh.

He emphasized his commitment to retaining Himachal Pradesh’s youth within the state by offering education that is not only high in quality but also job-oriented. “Our goal is to equip students with the skills they need to either become employers or find employment immediately after graduation. To achieve this, we are launching counseling sessions focused on career development, not just course selection. We want to ‘sell careers,’ not just courses,” Singh added.

Arni University is also planning several new initiatives to engage more effectively with the youth of Himachal Pradesh. With many students migrating to educational hubs like Chandigarh and Delhi, the university aims to provide quality education that will encourage them to stay and build their futures within the state.

Singh’s efforts and the university’s strategic direction are seen as crucial steps in addressing the educational and employment needs of the region, with a focus on creating opportunities that keep the state’s talent at home.
