Under its Corporate Social Responsibility–Sustainable Development (CSR–SD) initiative, NHPC Regional Office Banikhet organised a specialist medical camp in Gram Panchayat Goli, District Chamba, on March 19, 2026, with technical medical support from Medanta – The Medicity Hospital, Gurugram.

The camp was formally inaugurated by Shri Rajil Vyas, Executive Director, NHPC Regional Office Banikhet, in the esteemed presence of Shri Amrik Kumar, Group General Manager (Civil) and Dr. Ranveer Singh Rathi, General Manager (Medical Services).

The highlight of the camp was the participation of world-class doctors from Medanta Hospital, including specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, physiotherapy, and gastroenterology. They provided consultations and diagnostic services for heart ailments, bone and joint problems, and digestive disorders.

Around the camp, patients underwent free blood tests and other necessary diagnostic procedures. Essential medicines prescribed by doctors were distributed personally by the Executive Director, with NHPC ensuring that all required drugs were made available free of cost.

This initiative reflects NHPC’s commitment to community health, emphasizing that a healthy community is the foundation of a progressive nation. By bringing super-specialist doctors to a remote village like Goli, NHPC fulfilled its vision of providing “doorstep medical facilities” to underserved regions where basic healthcare infrastructure is limited.

At the conclusion of the camp, the local Panchayat Pradhan and villagers expressed heartfelt gratitude to NHPC. They noted that consulting specialist doctors usually requires long and costly travel to big cities, but NHPC’s effort saved both time and money while delivering quality healthcare at their doorstep. The community also expressed hope that such welfare programs would continue in the future.

The camp not only proved successful but also spread a new message of health awareness in the region, reaffirming NHPC’s role as not just a power producer but also a socially responsible corporation.
