A free medical camp under CSR-CD scheme for the year 2025–26 at Primary School Darkodi Draman Basohli, in Kathua district.
The primary objective of the camp was to provide essential healthcare services to residents of remote and rural areas, especially beneficiaries from Draman and Tanu Panchayats. A total of 262 patients were examined during the camp and were provided with free medicines and medical consultation.
The medical camp was formally inaugurated by the MLA Basohli, Thakur Darshan Singh, along with the Head of Sewa-2 Power Station, Madan Lal Sharma. Both dignitaries appreciated NHPC’s humanitarian initiative and highlighted the importance of such outreach programs in strengthening healthcare access in rural regions.
On the occasion, Kalpataru Nayak, General Manager (Electrical), along with other senior officials of NHPC, were also present and extended their support to the initiative.
A specialized medical team led by Dr. R.K. Chintan from NHPC conducted health check-ups and ensured the distribution of required medicines free of cost, emphasizing quality healthcare delivery to the villagers.
Local residents actively participated in the camp and expressed their gratitude towards NHPC for organizing the program. They also urged the authorities to conduct similar health camps regularly in remote areas.
NHPC continues to reaffirm its commitment towards community welfare through impactful CSR initiatives aimed at sustainable development and social upliftment.
