The Gram Panchayat Hadsar in Bharmour subdivision witnessed the grand inauguration of a traditional wrestling competition, where local residents and wrestlers participated with great zeal.
District Congress President Surjit Bharmauri graced the occasion as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the event, encouraging the wrestlers with his words of support.
In his address, Bharmauri emphasized that such traditional events are symbols of our cultural heritage and must be preserved. He added that these competitions not only provide athletes with a platform to showcase their talent but also create employment opportunities for the youth.
During the program, winners and runners-up were honored, and Bharmauri praised the organizers for their efforts, urging that such events should continue in the future.
