An awareness meeting on drug prevention was organised in Bharmour on Sunday with the aim of educating society about the harmful effects of substance abuse and keeping youth away from addiction.
The meeting was chaired by DSP Chamba, Baldev Dutt, and attended by members and office bearers of the Bharmour Trade Association as well as the Bharmour Taxi Union.
Police Appeal for Public Cooperation
In his address, DSP Baldev Dutt emphasized that drug abuse has become a serious challenge for society, particularly affecting the younger generation. He urged the public to actively support police campaigns against drugs and to immediately report any incidents of drug trafficking to the authorities.
Participants assured their full cooperation in the anti-drug campaign.
Future Awareness Drives Planned
Station House Officer (SHO) Bharmour, Babu Ram Sharma, also shared details of ongoing police initiatives against narcotics. The meeting concluded with a decision to organize awareness camps and public outreach programs in the Bharmour region in the coming months, with the goal of building a drug-free society.
