Naresh Kumar, a career counsellor from Aarni University, inspired students by emphasising that the present time is full of opportunities and what young learners truly need is clarity about the path they wish to follow. He was addressing students of Himalayan Public School, Chowari, during the ‘Udaan’ career guidance event organised by The Newz Radar in association with Aarni University on Friday.
During his interaction with students, Kumar highlighted that confusion and lack of direction often become bigger obstacles than the absence of opportunities. He stated that today’s generation has access to a wide range of academic streams, professional courses and skill-based options, unlike earlier times. “There is no dearth of opportunities in today’s world. The key lies in identifying one’s interest and choosing a clear, focused direction,” he told the students.
The career counsellor urged students to explore their strengths and passions at an early stage, adding that clarity of goals helps in better planning and consistent efforts. He advised them to avoid being influenced by peer pressure or temporary trends and instead work towards long-term objectives. According to Kumar, success is not limited to a few conventional careers but can be achieved in diverse fields if pursued with commitment and proper guidance.
Highlighting the role of Aarni University, Kumar said the institution is actively supporting students through various initiatives aimed at their holistic development. He informed the students that the university provides scholarships to deserving candidates and organises startup and innovation-related events to encourage entrepreneurship and creative thinking among youth. These initiatives, he added, are designed to help students grow academically as well as professionally and prepare them for real-world challenges.
Speaking about the Udaan initiative, the organisers said the programme is focused on guiding students towards informed career choices and motivating them to strive for excellence in their studies. They added that such interactions with experienced professionals play a crucial role in shaping students’ outlook and confidence.
The session witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, who actively engaged in discussions related to career planning and higher education. The programme concluded with students expressing renewed confidence and motivation to pursue their goals with clarity and determination.
