36 ex-servicemen from Chamba to participate in Republic Day Parade

Continuing the tradition, 36 ex-servicemen from Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh have been selected to participate in the Republic Day Parade on January 26, 2025.
These ex-servicemen have been chosen from various parts of the district under the initiative of the District Sainik Board, Chamba.
Captain Anupam Parashar, Deputy Director of the District Sainik Board, has ensured proper arrangements for the transportation, uniforms and other necessities for the participants.
The parade in Shimla will be led by 85-year-old veteran and Commander of the Ex-Servicemen League, Kakira, Honorary Captain Puran Singh Thapa.
Honorary Captain Tilak Raj Dhiman, Vice-Chairman of the District Sainik Board, stated that all transportation costs for the participants would be borne by the government. The 36 ex-servicemen, representing various regions of Chamba, will leave for Shimla on the morning of January 21 to take part in the parade.
The District Sainik Board has expressed pride in the participation of Chamba’s ex-servicemen, who continue to contribute to the nation’s pride and honor even after their retirement from active service.
