CBSE Class 10 results 2025 declared: Girls shine again, over 93% students pass

DHARAMSHALA: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the results for the Class 10 board exams on Tuesday (May 13, 2025), recording an overall pass percentage of 93.66%, a slight rise from last year’s 93.60%.

Once again, girls outperformed boys, this time by a margin of more than two percentage points, as confirmed by Controller of Examination Sanyam Bhardwaj.

A total of 23,71,939 students appeared for the examinations held between February 15 and March 18, 2025, across India and select overseas centres. Out of these, 2,221,636 candidates successfully passed, reflecting a consistent trend of strong performance among Class 10 students.

This year, academic excellence continued to shine, with over 1.99 lakh students scoring above 90% and more than 45,000 achieving above 95% marks.
Despite the positive numbers, over 1.41 lakh students have been placed in the compartment category, giving them another opportunity to clear the exams.

Girls have maintained their lead in board results, securing a higher pass percentage than boys by more than two points—a trend that has been consistent in recent years. The CBSE has not yet released a detailed gender-wise breakdown, but the performance gap reflects broader national patterns in school-level examinations.

Students can access their results through CBSE’s official websites — cbseresults.nic.in and results.cbse.nic.in — as well as through the DigiLocker app and portal. To check results, students need their roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
