A heartwarming tale of faith and fulfillment has emerged from renowned Shaktipeeth Shri Naina Devi Ji temple during the auspicious festival of Sharadiya Navratri. A devotee from Punjab has claimed that his long-standing wish for a son was granted in abundance by the goddess, with the birth of not one but three sons after 18 years.
Rajesh Bhambri, a devotee from Khanna in Punjab, visited the holy shrine along with his family to perform the ‘mundan’ (first haircut) ceremony of his three sons. He shared that he had prayed to Mata Rani for a child many years ago and was overwhelmed when his prayer was answered with the birth of triplets. “I had only asked for one son, but Mata Rani blessed me with three. She filled our lives with joy beyond our expectations,” said Bhambri with visible emotion.
In a unique gesture of devotion, the family has named the three boys Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh, symbolising the holy trinity of creation, preservation and destruction in Hindu belief.
Preeti Bhambri, a female member of the family, also expressed her gratitude, revealing that they already had one daughter and had prayed to Mata Naina Devi to complete their family with a son. “Our wish has been fulfilled. The entire family is grateful and has come here to seek the goddess’s blessings for the children’s long life and well-being.”
The temple saw a large turnout on Sunday, with over 60,000 devotees visiting the shrine for darshan during the Sharadiya Navratri festivities. Pilgrims from across India and even abroad have been flocking to this sacred site, considered one of the most powerful Shaktipeeths, to seek blessings and express their devotion.
