Dharamshala: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will stage a protest in the district headquarters of Dharamshala on January 27, demanding the construction of the building for the Central University in Jadrangal. Pradesh BJP President, Dr. Rajiv Bindal, will join the demonstration. The announcement was made by legislator Vipin Singh Parmar during a press conference on Tuesday. Parmar alleged that the Chief Minister, Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, claims to lack the required ₹30 crore for the CU building but spends lavishly on his friends’ offices.
Parmar criticized the state government for not resolving the issue of the Central University, which has been in a state of neglect for the past 14 years. He accused the Chief Minister of not allocating funds for the CU building while spending substantial amounts on his friends’ offices. Parmar expressed support for symbolic protests for CU and urged those willing to fight for the cause to join the BJP in their efforts.
Parmar pointed out that the Central Government has fulfilled its official obligations, and now it is the responsibility of the state government to allocate the necessary ₹30 crore for the CU building. He also accused the state government of increasing expenses despite claiming financial difficulties over the past year. The protest for CU’s building will now take to the streets, reflecting the people’s discontent and urging the government to prioritize the construction.
