The Chaurasi Vyapar Mandal Bharmaur observed a three-hour market closure on Monday morning to pay heartfelt tribute to local trader Suraj Thakur, who had been battling a prolonged illness and was under treatment in Chandigarh. He passed away on Sunday morning in Chandigarh, and his mortal remains were brought to Bharmaur later that night. His cremation was performed on Monday morning.
As a mark of respect, the entire Bharmaur market remained closed from 9 AM to 11 AM. During this solemn occasion, Mandal Convener Harisharan Sharma, President Mahindra Patial, senior members Deshraj Sharma, Jaisi Ram Thakur, Tek Chand Thakur, Ranjit Sharma, Azad Jaryal, Kalu Sharma, Sanjay Kapoor, Sumit Thakur, Shata Thakur, Naveen Thakur, Pali Thakur, Tilak Sharma, Abhilash Patial, Pappu Thakur, Vinay Saniyal, Milap Patial, Golu Sharma, Sanjay Thakur, along with the entire trading community, offered floral tributes and prayers for the departed soul.
The traders collectively expressed deep sorrow over the loss and prayed for peace to the departed soul and strength to the bereaved family in this hour of grief.
