Backward Linkage Investigation – Another Accused Arrested in Heroin Trafficking Case

In a significant breakthrough, Nurpur Police has arrested another accused linked to the heroin (chitta) trafficking case uncovered on May 15, 2026, in Bhadroya. This arrest comes as part of the backward linkage investigation aimed at tracing the source of narcotics.

Accused Details:

  • Name: Manmohan Singh alias Biru
  • Age: 22 years
  • Resident: Bhadroya, Tehsil Indora

Legal Action: The accused has been arrested today under Section 29 of the NDPS Act.

Case Background: On May 15, 2026, the CIA Nurpur team recovered 41.40 grams of heroin concealed under a sewing machine in a house at Bhadroya. In that operation, a mother and son were arrested, and FIR No. 93/2026 was registered at Police Station Damtal. Continuing the investigation, police have now apprehended this third accused connected to the case.

Police Statement: Nurpur Police remains committed to dismantling drug networks by pursuing both backward and forward linkages. The crackdown against narcotics will continue with full force.
