As part of the ongoing special campaign against drugs, a significant meeting of the Nasha Nivaran Committee was convened today at the Panchayat Ghar of Gram Panchayat Indpur.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Surinder Thakur, SDM Indora, with the special presence of Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, SDPO Indora.

Committee Chairperson Mrs. Anju Kumari (Headmistress, Government High School Indpur), along with other members and nearly 40–50 prominent local residents, actively participated in the session.

Key Highlights of the Meeting

  • Awareness Against Chitta: SDM and SDPO Indora sensitized attendees about the harmful effects of synthetic drugs like chitta and their grave social and physical consequences.
  • Strengthening the Information Network: Officials urged committee members and locals to promptly report drug users, illegal traders, or any suspicious activities to the police, administration, or the committee.
  • Confidentiality Assured: Authorities emphasized that the identity of informants will remain strictly confidential.
  • Rewards and Incentives: Information was shared about government schemes offering rewards to those who provide leads against drug mafias.
  • Community Participation: Local residents offered valuable suggestions and pledged full cooperation in the fight against drugs.

Station House Officer, Indora, confirmed that the meeting concluded peacefully, with participants reaffirming their commitment to making the region drug-free.
