MANDI: Seven promising cadets from Maharaja Lakshman Sen Memorial College, Sundernagar, showcased their mettle at the recent Army Attachment Camp. Among them were Piyush, Amit Raj, Ashwani Kumar, Gaurav Verma, Shivam Raj, Pankaj and Uday Kumar, who participated with zeal and determination.
Under the guidance of CPL Mohit Kumar from NCC, Manakot Line, Dalhousie, a 12-day camp for young aspirants is being conducted from March 17 to 28. Hosted by 6 JAK Rifles, the camp aimed at instilling leadership, discipline and a sense of national unity among the participants.
Organised by 5 HP Coy NCC Battalion, Dharamshala, the camp is witnessing the participation of 94 cadets from various battalions. Sundernagar contributed seven cadets, while Mandi College and NCC Mandi sent eight and 15 cadets, respectively. Additionally, cadets from Solan, Rampur, Dalhousie, Hamirpur, Dharamshala, Una, and Kullu also joined in, showcasing their enthusiasm and dedication.
The camp agenda included sessions on Army-related subjects, weapon familiarisation and engaging competitions designed to hone the cadets’ skills. As a testament to their commitment, the cadets adhered to a rigorous schedule, punctuated by screenings of inspirational movies like “Sam Bahadur” and “Parmanu”.
The achievement of these cadets reflects not only their individual prowess but also the dedication of Maharaja Lakshman Sen Memorial College and the NCC unit. ANO Lieutenant Kamlesh Sen, along with the entire NCC unit, extended heartfelt congratulations to the cadets for their outstanding performance and exemplary representation.
This commendable feat not only bolsters the spirit of the NCC but also serves as a source of inspiration for aspiring cadets across the region, reaffirming the values of leadership, discipline and national service.
