Indora Police Station, under Police District Nurpur, has successfully seized 10 grams of heroin (“chitta”) during an anti-narcotics operation. On the night of April 6, 2026, a police team was conducting a checkpoint near Changrara, inspecting vehicles for suspicious activity. During the operation, a white Alto car (registration number HP 38G-3964) was stopped for checking. Upon searching the vehicle, the team recovered 10 grams of heroin hidden inside the dashboard. The narcotics, along with the vehicle used for trafficking, were taken into police custody.
Accused Persons:
- Kamaldeep (Driver) – 39 years old, resident of Lahru village, Post Office Lahru, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.
- Jitendra Singh – 32 years old, resident of Uparla Moch village, Post Office Sunet, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.
Both accused were arrested on the spot. An FIR (No. 51/26) has been registered at Indora Police Station under Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the ND&PS Act. Further investigation is underway to trace other links in the illegal drug trade.
District Police Nurpur urges citizens to support the campaign against narcotics. Any suspicious activity should be immediately reported to the police helpline (112).
