Popular Himachali singer Kumar Sahil captivated thousands of spectators during the first Star Night of the International Minjar Fair 2025, held at the historic Chaugan Ground in Chamba. The event was inaugurated by the Governor of Himachal Pradesh Shiv Pratap Shukla, in the presence of Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha Kuldeep Singh Pathania, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repswal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Amit Mehra, and senior district officials.
The administration, dignitaries, and general public applauded Sahil’s high-energy and emotional performance, which marked one of the key highlights of the inaugural evening.
From Bus Journey in 2014 to Star Status in 2025
Kumar Sahil, who once traveled to Chamba by bus in 2014 to perform in the Minjar Fair as a budding artist, returned this year as a featured headline performer. His presence on the main stage symbolized a remarkable journey of growth, dedication, and recognition over more than a decade.

Sahil gained national recognition after his notable appearance in Indian Idol Season 11, and has since built a strong reputation as a versatile live performer in both national and international circuits.
Message to Youth: Say No to Drugs
Alongside his musical act, Kumar Sahil delivered a strong message to the youth, urging them to stay away from drugs and contribute to building a drug-free Himachal Pradesh. He emphasized that honesty, consistency, hard work, and passion are the real keys to success. The audience, particularly the younger crowd, responded to his message with loud cheers and applause.
New Releases Gaining Popularity
The singer’s recently released single “Deewana” has received positive feedback from listeners across platforms. His Punjabi music album titled “Beyond Live” is also gaining popularity. Sahil is currently working on a number of upcoming Hindi and Punjabi music videos, expected to release in the coming months.

The International Minjar Fair, which runs from July 27 to August 3, is a week-long cultural festival celebrated with traditional rituals, local folk performances, processions, and evening concerts. Organized annually in Chamba, the fair draws visitors from across Himachal Pradesh and neighbouring states.
